Elizabeth Zachry Responds to statement #1

"Given the proclivity of the younger generation to text rather than talk to one another, I am waiting for the app that lets you say something truly radical with your iPhones, iPads (or other devices) ... use the app to talk to somebody.Whoever invents this one will make a bazillion dollars."

I agree with the fact that (most) my generation and the up coming generation are technology dependent on texting, email, Facebook and etc, specific communication. I most definitely agree that this generation is not a face to face or vocal communicative generation. Personally I would rather have a conversation face to face or over the phone rather then come face with interpreting someones text or email. The tone may come off rude or harsh when in that person's mind who sent could be they arent trying to be but that is just how they come off in text. Thus why I love talking on the phone there is no error for misinterpreted emotions or tone being perpetrated its straight forward and from the source.

  1. While I somewhat agree with your statement, I have to disagree on the fact that not everyone in this generation is dependent on the us of technology in their daily lives. There are a great amount of people who would rather do something physical or educational without any technology for the majority of their time. Many people show that they do not live through their phones or computers. However, I do agree with you that face to face communication is starting to decrease and the upcoming generation may be in danger of a huge reliance to technology due to being introduced to it at an early age.
